Well built and will protect its contents. Would have preferred US made, but couldn’t find one with this quality.

My Alaskan Series Rifle case was tagged, “Made in Canada”. Gotta love those Canadians for craftsmanship. I’m very pleased with this product and well worth the money.

Best soft case I ever seen or owned. Liked the side pouch for keeping box of shell handy [never forget your ammo]. Like it so much buying another one for a new rifle. Would recommend it to anyone and everyone. you will not be disappointed.

Not a review but a question, are they made in China or Canada?

Ideal for the standard Mosin Nagant 91/30. A bit of a snug fit with a Limbsaver pad installed, but it’ll work easily. The accessory pocket will easily hold 100 rounds, and five years after the purchase, the Velcro is still holding up fine.
The bayonet will tuck away nicely in the bottom of the case, but any aftermarket ideas to permanently stitch a holder or sleeve would void the lifetime warranty (which is valid and convenient when and if the zippers break…)
Overall, this case is lovely, it fits with the spirit of the Mosin (“Canvas is good, da?”), and the customer service is phenomenal! I was pleased enough that I have these cases for all of my Soviet-era rifles.

Quality is excellent as expected. Unfortunately, if you aren’t putting a modern bolt action with a low profile scope, you’re probably going to be out of luck with this case fitting your rifle. I wish they would qualify their advertisement a bit more. I managed to put several of my scoped modern bolt actions in it (Savage composite 25-06 with 3-9x42mm scope, Tikka T3 composite 300wsm with 4-12x42mm scope which BARELY fit, Tikka T3 wood 30-06 with 4-12x42mm). However my Marlin 45-70 with a low profile red dot wouldn’t fit…at all (it fits nicely without the red dot). So if you have a rifle with a smaller drop to heal you should be good to go (straight stock). If your drop to heal is anything more than a modern bolt… like a lever action, or European style stock you might have problems. Yes, I knew it might have been tight when I bought it based on the look of it, but I was hoping it would work because I love the look and quality. So in summary… LOVE the look and quality. If this worked for the rifle I bought it for I’d be ecstatic. Unfortunately they don’t mention it’s only for scoped rifles with relatively straight stocks. Sigh… Maybe they can design a lever gun case one day.
A: We actually do make a case for larger scopes. Our Varmint Rifle Case is 7" at the widest point. http://boytharness.com/product/varmint-rifle-case-accessory-pocket/
A: Thomas,
The 48" is the inside length of the case. We recommend going 2" longer than the gun to avoid the zipper being tight when zipping up the case and scratching the gun.
Thanks Lori
A: Hi Glenn,
We always suggest adding 2" to the overall length of your firearm. For this specific case we would suggest the 48". There is a 46" option with our Signature Series Scoped Rifle Case if you would prefer. http://boytharness.com/product/signature-series-scoped-rifle-case-accessory-pocket/. If you have any further questions please let us know.
Thank you,
Briana
